There is a famous Japanese tale of YUKI-ONNA, which directly translated as "Snow-Lady."

She is a cold-blooded being who freezes anyone who comes into her territory,
but one day she falls in love with one man who came into her territory.

She was able to gain his love , but only for a while, and she disappears into the blizzard.
